A coroner was called to a "police incident" along the train tracks in Chambersburg on Tuesday afternoon, on Nov. 26, authorities confirmed the following morning.

A pedestrian was struck by a train near Catherine Street and Cleveland Avenue in Chambersburg, according to emergency distachers. It prompted a police and fire department response Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 2:41 p.m., authorities announced.

Authorities called this an "isolated incident," but additional details have not been released at the time of publishing.

"This investigation will not impact vehicular travel in the area," police wrote in an updated release.
